GE Energy gets $500 million UAE aluminum plant contract

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- GE Energy, a unit of General Electirc Co. , said Wednesday it had received a contract of more than US$500 million to supply equipment to power the Emirates Aluminum production facility. The site is located in the United Arab Emirates and is to be run under a joint venture between Dubai Aluminum Co. and Mubadala Development Co., GE said.
