DUBAI — Mirdif City Centre, Majid Al Futtaim's upcoming project, is one of the first shopping centre ventures in the region to be ecologically friendly right from the design phase through to the construction stages, said a Press release on Monday.
The Centre will adopt Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) standards; a rating system developed by the US Green Building Council as the methodology for measuring 'sustainability'. The project has to comply with LEED protocols, both in terms of design tactics — to reduce energy and water demand
