Los Angeles: Nakheel and the Trump Organization, two of the world's leading developers, came together on Monday to introduce the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah to the LA market. A celebration took place at the 3.5 acre Tar Estate located in the prestigious Los Angeles neighbourhood of Bel Air.

Nakheel Executive Chairman, His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Nakheel Chief Executive Officer, Chris O’Donnell and Nakheel Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, Manal Shaheen were all in attendance, as was Donald J. Trump, Chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization.

“This event was a follow-up to the global sales launch in New York in June,” said Manal Shaheen, Nakheel Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.

“We are thrilled by the success of this project so far. It has exceeded everyone’s expectations. Sales have already broken records in Dubai. Trump International Hotel & Tower is destined to become the next great Dubai icon of ultimate luxury.”

The events was kicked off by a video presentation of the project as well as a few welcome words from Chairman Sultan bin Sulayem and Donald J. Trump. A 13 metre-long scale model of Dubai incorporating all current Nakheel developments and other major projects in the city provided guests with a sense of the incredible landmarks that Nakheel has developed in the region. 360 degree video presentations and photographs of Dubai were projected on the inside of the dome and guests were able to get a glimpse of the tower from an impressive and highly detailed model of the project in an oversized room adjacent to the dome.

The premier luxury hotel and residential tower, one of the most anticipated new builds in Dubai and Trump's first in the region, began construction in July and is poised to become a stunning addition to the skyline of Dubai. A masterpiece of architecture, the 62-story, stainless steel and glass Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai will be the tallest structure on Palm Jumeirah and is expected to be completed in summer 2011.

The event was marked by a star studded performances by pop sensation Christina Aguilera. Additional notable attendees included Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Orlando Bloom, Hilary Swank, Aaron Eckhart, Lucy Liu and Paula Abdul.
