ZAYED FUTURE ENERGY PRIZE – SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN!

As the world’s future energy needs become ever more pressing, we are honoured to announce the inaugural year of the annual Zayed Future Energy Prize with a prize fund of $2.2 million. The Prize founded by the Abu Dhabi Government’s, Masdar, a multi-billion dollar renewable energy and sustainable development initiative is actively encouraging innovation in the area of clean energy.

Named in memory of the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and founding father of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Zayed Future Energy Prize will continue the environmental legacy of HH Sheikh Zayed in promoting the development of sustainable energy solutions.

Entries will be accepted both online and in hard copy format. Closing date for submissions is 30 September 2008.
